Botox + Dysport

Botox and Dysport are incredibly versatile as they can be used to treat a variety of cosmetic and medical concerns. Dr. DiMeola commonly uses Botox and Dysport to treat:

The actual treatment only takes 10 minutes. Dr. DiMeola and our aesthetic injectors use an ultra-fine needle to inject small amounts of Botox or Dysport comfortably. Most patients compare the Botox or Dysport injections to a “quick” pinch. Redness or swelling is minor after a Botox or Dysport treatment. In fact, most patients resume normal activities immediately after. You should avoid touching or disturbing the area for 8-10 hours after receiving Botox or Dysport. Botox and Dysport patients report a more fresh, youthful look and boosted confidence. Results can be seen in 7-12 days, however, after 14 days you will see the full effect. Typically, Botox or Dysport results last for 3-4 months. It is recommended that you keep up on treatments for longer-lasting results. Patients that have been receiving Botox or Dysport for years report their results last longer and they are able to extend the time between treatments.

Minimal bruising and swelling are expected after a Botox or Dysport treatment session. Our medical team can recommend methods of reducing bruising and swelling, such as application of a cold compress.

Avoid touching your face for the first 4 hours after the treatment. This will allow the Botox or Dysport to remain in the area where it is injected.

Relax for the day, maintain a normal heart rate, and avoid strenuous activities. This will prevent you from sweating, which can increase redness and swelling. Facial movements like frowning, smiling, or raising your eyebrows are safe and will help the benefits of Botox become visible earlier after treatment.
